Thank you so much for joining us for the September Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad Blog Hop! This month we are focusing on the tools of the stampin’ trade. Specifically, each of our favorite stamping tools. It’s amazing the kinds of tools that have been created to help us along in our paper-crafting addictions. This month’s blog hop will showcase many of the Stampin’ Up! tools that are now available to us in the 2013-2014 Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Holiday Catalog and even a couple of products that are so new they aren’t in either catalog. We hope you enjoy seeing how we use the old and new tools and are inspired to come up with some great projects of your own.
You should have just left stop number 4 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad blog hop – Tonya’s wonderful blog. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.
I have to admit something before I post my cards. When I found out what the challenges were going to be, I dragged my heels. I was literally stumped. I have to say, I am happy with how these did come out. At first, I was really scared with what my cards would look like! LOL! Do you ever have those days? I made two cards for today’s hop.. I hope you enjoy them! Can you guess what my favorite pattern is? Chevron for sure!!!
Anniversary Card #1
Anniversary Card #2
Supplies Used:
- Positively Chevron Stamp
- So Shelli 25 Year Anniversary Stamp Set
- Smoky Slate, Whisper White and Pool Party Card Stock
- Smoky Slate, Pool Party and Basic Gray Classic Inks
- 2 1/2 inch Circle Punch
- Deco Label Framelits
- Big Shot
- Paper Doilies
- Stampin Sponges
- Neutrals Buttons
- Linen Thread
- Glue Dots
- Snail Adhesive
- Stampin` Dimensionals
I love the softness of both cards. I had to share both, as I was playing with punches and my big shot! I have been asked to feature my favorite tool in my studio. THIS was hard to do.. and I am going to cheat a little bit and list 2… which are featured in making both cards
- The Big Shot
- Framelits
Honestly, i have so many tools I love and could not be left without. For instance, my stampin` trimmer rocks my socks! I can not think of a better cutting tool in my studio. But, as far as tools to create with.. definitely the Big Shot.. I love playing withe dies, the framelits. It really personalizes a card and all the possibilities you can do with a project!
