She’s taken her journey to Rainbow Bridge. My sweet Ruby Girl.

I know my blog is for my stamping but… I felt like I wanted to share this on my blog. My sweet Ruby was diagnosed with Lymphoma the beginning of the month. We knew she had lumps but until they stated to become enlarged then we felt it was time to take her to the vet and get it checked. And, it was what my heart was hoping it was not.

We have an amazing vet. She explained some options. I do not ever want to see any animal suffer. We decided on the option of steroids. This was to help slow the growth of the lymph nodes. The past few weeks she has done ok but we could see a slow deterioration in her health. Last night I just had that “momma gut feeling” and this morning she was struggling to breath. We called the vet. She listened to her breathing and she said there was fluid building in her lungs. The lymph nodes were making it hard for her to breath and she was struggling to go potty. I just knew I was going to have to make the decision I didn’t want to do.

We snuggled her tight and we gently let her go. Seriously, I cried like a baby. She was my baby. She was 13 and soon to be 14 in July (its how we picked her name – July’s birth stone).

I’m missing hearing her nails tapping on the floor. Her “sister” Krystal, is already looking sad. I feel a bit lost.. I just wanted to share a few pictures of her with all of you. She will always be my Ruby Girl..

You are now free and without pain my sweet girl. Missing you so much. Love you.
