Hi everyone! I have a longer and wordy-er post than normal.. I have a crazy event to share with you!
So, I didn’t post yesterday. I thought.. take a little break.. just one day! Well, I started the day off with a new doo! I got up early, and went to see my favorite hairdresser (since 10th grate.. just a few yrs ago) and she made me all beautiful again! Isn’t it amazing what a little hair cut will do? I came home, was thinking, I’d stamp. That sounds like a relaxing day, right? Well… something very weird happened! Not sure all of you know but along w/ my funtime job being a crazy stampin lady, I have a very full time job being an Innkeeper. Yes, I own an inn of 45 rooms. Summer is a crazy busy time and after Labor Day hits.. I can breathe. Today though, I had a different kind of guest, who came through with flying fur.
Yes, I had a deer fly through my window of one of my guest rooms. Thankfully, nobody was near or in the room when it happened. This poor doe decided she would take flight right through the glass of room 148. Zoom! She no doubt made a big mess. She was hurt from the broken class. The story gets stranger. Ready for this? She freaked out and ran into the bathroom and by her kicking and trying to find her way out. she shut herself into the bathroom. Ok, really? I can’t make this stuff up! I can smile about it now, but the poor thing. I was not sure what to do, so a call to 911 was made. We had 2 police officers here, and a DNR officer, along with 2 men from the local papers ready for a story.
I live in a small town. This is BIG news. Yes, I know.. giggle! So, my day of stamping? Well, I didn’t get stamping in. Getting the mess cleaned up and moving on with life. I have to say, I dont get many furry guests like that in my rooms!

Oh and yes.. the rest of the story! The chief of police was able to open the bathroom door, she flew out the door (and the other police officers did stop traffic on Ludington Avenue so there would be no accidents). Crazy little story for you today! I prefer non eventful days please!

I held a masing class last month. This was one of the cards made. I used the Decorative Masks on page 205 of the Annual Catalog. We have hearts, stars, dots and strupes.
