Hello, Fall! Stampin` Up!

Hi Everyone! I’m glad you are here! Today, I am going to share a post from Stampin` Up! Why? Because as hard as I have been working in my studio, I do not want to show the cards just yet, they are for classes coming up.. and Ill share them after the class respectively, is done. So, I thought of maybe taking a day off from posting. I know .. gasp! Right? Well, I couldn’t do that. I made a commitment and a promise to myself, that I would post EVERY day! I need a little rest before my class tonight. Ive put in 3 10 hour days getting ready for the next 3 months of classes.. shew! But, I am happy I am being so productive. I love it! I love to create pretty things. I love to share and I love holding classes! I get excited this time of year – the brisk fall air.. and the time to stamp once again! Woot!

Here is what I’d like to share today … and by the way.. I LOVE this card.. just sayin!!!

Hello, Fall!

Fall is my favorite season. There are so many reasons why: football, hoodies, vibrant leaves, crisp air, and pumpkin spice everything! In honor of the changing of the seasons, I’ve made a couple of fall projects to share.

This first card uses the Four Feathers Stamp Set with the coordinating Feather Framelits Dies. One of my favorite techniques is to “faux watercolor.” To achieve this look, ink your stamp and mist the surface of the inked stamp with water in a Stampin’ Spritzer. Mist a few times, or until you can see small puddles forming.  Then stamp on Watercolor Paper. If you want more bleed, you can mist the paper directly. This is such a simple way to achieve an artistic, watercolor look.

This is an awesome technique. I have tried this with the “For All Things” stamp set and I loved how it turned out. If you have not tried our watercolor paper, it is a MUST have! I absolutely love it. It is super absorbent and really takes on this technique well. I love that it doesnt crinkle up – know what I mean? I also love the weight of it. It feels awesome! Yes, I have a thing for paper. Stampin` Up! paper rocks my socks and its the best on the market (and trust me, I have used a LOT of paper over the years of paper crafting since I was in HS.. yes, many moons ago LOL).

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a super day! I am so excited to be teaching a Blendabilities class today. It is going to be fun! Make something pretty and get inky!! *hugs*
