Stampin Creative Blog Hop – Monochromatic

Posted by Dawn Bourgette on
March 26th, 2020

Welcome to the Stampin Creative Blog Hop for March 2020! This months theme is “monochromatic”. How fun, right? I decided to choose Rococo Rose to work with as my “monochromatic” color and used the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set (item #151490 $21.00) and the coordinating product, the Natures Thoughts Dies (item #153586 $29.00).

Here is what I came up with:

I really love this stamp set and I think its just finally getting recognized as being a rock star stamp set!

I had so much fun making these. The dies give it that little extra something. For the dies I used the little “fern”, the large fern, the flower and the large butterfly.

Now, lets join all of my friends and hop around with me – all over the globe. They are super talented and we cannot wait to inspire you!

Here are the items you’ll want to grab up to make this beauty:

Thank you so much for hopping with us today! Make sure to leave a comment so we know you stopped by!

Now, lets make something pretty and get inky!! *hugs*

Stampin Creative Blog Hop! February Theme: Case Shelli!

Posted by Dawn Bourgette on
February 27th, 2020

Thank you so much for stopping by today! We at the Stampin Creative Crew are celebrating February with Case-ing Shelli (Gardner). By CASEing, I mean Copy and Share Everything. I love Shelli’s style. And, while at Onstage last November, I was drooling over this card Shelli created and could not wait to re-create it… CASE it! And, since Easter is “around the corner”, I thought I’d share this with you!

Let’s check out what I created!

I decided to do two projects – 1 3D and 1 Card. Both are “hinged” with a brad. I loved that Shelli showed this on stage. What a brilliant idea with the Dino Dies! They coordinate with our new Easter stamp set in the Spring Mini Catalog, called Full Of Happiness!

This is a very small box that may fit a few candies or a pair of earings. I hinged the Dino Egg with a brad and hid it with a ribbon and have the bunny popping up to greet you. The bunny is from the Spring Mini Catalog, called Welcome Easter!

So, I admit, I was not really thrilled with this chick.. until I started to create with this stamp set. Again, I used the Dino Dies, and the Full Of Happiness Stamp Set. I heat embossed the Best Dressed DSP with white embossing powder to give it a polished look. I cut the flower image out of the Best Dressed DSP and popped it up with dimensionals. I used Wink Of Stella, to pretty it up a little and give it some sparkle!

Now, please make sure to visit my friends blogs and check out all of the fun creations this month of February!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! We appreciate you being a part of this months blog hop!

Now, make something pretty and get inky!!! *hugs*

Stampin Creative Blog Hop! “Hearts Of Friendship”

Posted by Dawn Bourgette on
January 30th, 2020

Welcome to the Stampin Creative Blog Hop! This month we are featuring “hearts of friendship”.. since we all love our family and friends dearly, why not spread the love!

I love the new “Pleased As Punch” DSP that will be available to everyone on February 4th 2020! Check it out! It works with our Heart Punches, Umbrella Punch, Tulip Punch (in our 2020 Mini Catalog) and our Small Bloom Punch (free Sale A bration Item #152316 with a $100 min. purchase).

Let’s check out my project:

Let’s share some digits and directions:

Cut a piece of Whisper White Card stock at 4 1/4 in x 11 inches

Score at 5 1/2 inches

Using the Pleased as Punch DSP (available on February 4 – March 31st) Cut a strip at 1/2 inch x 5 1/2 inches, also cut a piece at 1/4 inches x 5 1/2 inches and adhere to each end of the front of the card with Snail Adhesive.

Punch out the flowers from a piece of DSP with the Sale A Bration item, the Small Bloom Punch (item 152316 as a level 2 SAB item.. FREE with a $100 purchase).

Using the Heart Punch in our Mini Catalog (item #151292 $34.00 set of 2), and punch out a heart out of the Pleased As Punch DSP (item #153558 $11.50). Take a pencil and lightly trace the heart.

Using the flowers you punched, use glue dots and adhere the flowers with the glue dots round the traced heart shape. Stamp a sentiment on the heart you punched and then adhere to the punched area on top of the flowers, with dimemsionals.

Using a few spare flowers you have ;unched attached on the right side of the card as an accent. Use basic rhinestones to add a little bling to the middle of the flowers and on the heart.

Now, grab a cup of your favorite beverage and join us in the “love-ly” hop. My friends and I hope to inspire you with some fun creations to show your love to your friends and family! Click on the links below to hop around:

Thank you so much for stopping by! Now, lets get inky and make something pretty! *hugs*

Glitter & Glam Girls Blog Hop – Anything Goes!

Posted by Dawn Bourgette on
July 1st, 2019

Hi There! Thank you for stopping by today! Welcome back to the Glitter & Glam Girls Blog Hop!

This month’s theme: Anything goes!

I wanted to choose something that you could possibly take with you while traveling on vacation – maybe you are camping, maybe you are traveling on a plane or a train.. or maybe, you are doing a stay-cation and spending time with the grandkids and want to look for a fun project you can do together.. maybe, its a rainy day and you want to create but you want something easy, relaxing, with the bits and baubles ready to assemble!

Well, my friends, look no further! Here is one of our Stampin` Up! Project Kits to the rescue!

I love our kits – some are all inclusive (they have a stamp set included) and some, you need to purchase the stamp set separately. Either way,  they are just simply… awesome!

I am showcasing the Project Kit, “For The Love Of Felt”. I LOVE these felt flowers! I love the texture, I love the color.. they are the bomb.com!

First of all, check out this cute box! This is what the kit is packed in. Super cute, right?

This makes it perfect to store your cards and envelopes, OR.. give the entire kit as a special gift to someone who loves when you make then handmade cards. You know, those who love your creative pieces of work!

The item # for this kit is 149650 and the cost is $30.00. It makes 12 cards – 4 each of 3 designs.

Here are the adorable cards:

The kit comes with full color instructions!

But, if you’d like to think outside the box and do your own thing, that is always fun too!

Here is the stamp set that coordinates with it – you will have to purchase this separately:

This set has a lot of potential outside of using it for this card kit!

Super cute!!! Which is your favorite? Below you will find the other accessories you will need along with the kit and stamp set.

Gather some friends, and put your kits together – sharing a little cheese and wine! That sounds like a great girl time night to me!

Now, lets take a little time to browse the other blogs from my friends! You are guaranteed to be inspired! Thank you so much for stopping by! I appreciate you being here!
